Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Framy at https://framy.video, including the editor, uploads, previews, and exports. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Framy.

1. The service

Framy is a web application that lets you place screen recordings and related media inside iPhone-style device frames and export mockup videos (for example MP4). Features, device catalog, export limits, and availability may change during early access. We may add, modify, or remove functionality at any time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract. You may not use the service if you are barred under applicable law or if your use would violate export-control or sanctions rules.

3. Early access

Framy is currently offered in early access and is provided free of charge unless we state otherwise. We may introduce paid plans, usage limits, or account requirements in the future with reasonable notice. Early access software may contain bugs, downtime, or incomplete features.

4. Sessions, projects, and access

The service uses browser-based session identifiers rather than traditional accounts. You are responsible for safeguarding project links and session access on your device. We are not responsible for loss of access if you clear browser data, switch devices, or lose a project identifier. Resources are accessible only to sessions that created them, subject to our security controls.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of videos, images, fonts, text, and other material you upload ("User Content"). You represent that you have all rights necessary to upload and process User Content through Framy, including rights to screen recordings, trademarks shown in your recordings, music, and third-party assets.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, transcode, transform, and display User Content solely to operate the service (preview, export, storage, and delivery). This license ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except where retention is required by law or legitimate backup cycles.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload unlawful, infringing, harassing, deceptive, or malicious content
• Attempt to access other users' projects, files, or export jobs without authorization
• Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities; bypass rate limits or security controls
• Use automated means to abuse uploads, exports, or API endpoints
• Reverse engineer the service except where permitted by law
• Resell or commercially exploit the service in a way that competes with Framy
• Use the service in violation of Apple, Google, or other platform brand guidelines when publishing outputs

We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or report activity if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or applicable law.

7. Intellectual property

Framy, its logo, website design, device frame assets, templates, software, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our brand, code, or frame assets except as needed to use the service. Device frame depictions are for mockup purposes; Apple and other trademarks belong to their respective owners.

8. Exports and email

When you request an export, you may be asked to provide an email address. You agree that the address is accurate and that you consent to us storing it with the export job. Export processing depends on server capacity; we do not guarantee a specific render time or outcome. Download links are provided through secured, session-checked mechanisms and may expire.

9. Third-party services and links

The website may link to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT EXPORTS WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS OR PLATFORM REQUIREMENTS (FOR EXAMPLE APP STORE TECHNICAL SPECS).

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FRAMY AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) USD $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

12. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless Framy and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the service or other users. Upon termination, provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) will remain in effect.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Framy, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue for disputes, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country requires otherwise. You and we agree to attempt good-faith resolution via our contact form before filing formal proceedings where reasonable.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. Material changes may be posted on the website. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
